Zeren DACH’s Research Team Is Growing. Meet Ben Denaro.

What attracted you to Zeren?

A range of factors drove my decision to join Zeren, but the most important one was the pursuit of an exciting and fulfilling career, centered around Research and Communication.

Zeren allows, and indeed encourages me, to achieve both personal and professional goals through genuine opportunities and incredible support. This was further strengthened by my interest in working closely with dynamic and disruptive Tech firms, and the knowledge that I would contribute – even if only to a limited degree – towards the success of key actors, in areas such as AgriTech, CleanTech, and HealthTech.

What is your role within Zeren?

I have joined Zeren as an Associate within the Global Research team, working alongside Matthieu Pirouelle, Jean-Pierre Lauret, and my wider colleagues across Europe, whilst based in our London office. My role is to assist in the Retained Search process and support my team with data-driven, market intelligence, such as Market Mapping and Reporting, Candidate Identification, and End-to-End Research Support.

What prior, relevant experience do you think will serve you well at Zeren?

Before joining Zeren I had already worked in Executive Search, gaining and developing crucial skills that will allow me to thrive in my current role. I worked with major institutional investors (i.e, PE firms, VCs and Consultancies) on projects that spanned across the Pharmaceutical, Green Hydrogen, and FoodTech sectors.

I also learned both what I liked and, most importantly, did not like about the industry. This put me in a strong position in terms of knowing precisely what I was looking for in a career, and Zeren was the obvious answer. The culture, the fine balance between structure and flexibility, the wide-ranging opportunities and clear sense of value as a member of the team are just a few reasons I was keen to join.

What are you most excited for as your career develops?

I’m particularly looking forward to playing a role in Zeren’s rapid scale and continued success, and establishing a career that mirrors that growth.
