Joining Zeren’s Research Team – An Associate’s Perspective

Three weeks have passed since I commenced my role as an Associate at Zeren, and I am reassured in my decision of joining the business. Whilst I hold previous experience working within the Executive Search space, Zeren’s structure allows me to direct my focus towards the Research process that aligns with our Technology and Engineering vertical — a domain I have discovered to be of particular interest to me.

During my time at Zeren so far, I have been introduced to methods of implementing concise search strategy, as well as the importance of teamwork and camaraderie. I was initially drawn towards Executive Search, and a specialism in Tech and Engineering, due to my own personal interests in Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence technologies. Our clients are unique in the sense that they are high-growth, disruptive, tech businesses; to execute their continued scaling and growth plans, they need to hire individuals who share the same drive and vision.

My Research-based role at Zeren gives me the opportunity to strategically and effectively market-map, analyse market data and delve deeper into an area that is constantly evolving at a rapid pace. It is exciting and rewarding to work in tandem with VC and PE-backed firms that are scaling or undergoing transformation, since we are able to track their upward trajectory and the positive impact of our work, together.

In my opinion, the culture of an organisation is equally as important as the work the business undertakes, and I’m glad to say that Zeren has been an extremely welcoming and transparent company to join. Additionally, our teams are structured in a way that allows all members to seamlessly collaborate, because each person is integral to the search. I would describe our work culture as a truly engaging and supportive environment that fosters successful teamwork.

It is too early to tell what the future holds for me at Zeren, however the scope of my Associate role permits a great deal of growth and opportunity! As the Research team continues to expand, I would be thrilled to progress into becoming a Senior Associate.
