Joining Zeren – By Eugene Scollan

From an early age, I have been fascinated by all things Technology; from the most simple of gadgets to the devices we all know and love today. It is therefore little surprise that I sought out, and was fortunate enough to find, a career path and business such as Zeren, that has enabled me to work with some of the most interesting and innovative technology companies on a daily basis.

Having spent the past 5 years partnering with some of world’s most ambitious and high-growth Technology brands and businesses, I realised how important it is to be deeply ingrained within your sector, and it was clear to me that is where Zeren excels. I have always felt that it is important to have a passion for what you do and the market you operate in, which is one of, amongst the many, factors that stood out to me when I first discovered Zeren, which I will go on to explain.

Firstly, I quickly became aware of how well Zeren sits in the market, and the in-depth relationships the business holds, not only with a wide range of Technology businesses, but many of the world’s leading Venture Capital and Private Equity firms that invest and drive growth for progressive Tech businesses across the globe. I found this a truly unique and great strength that enables Zeren to sit at the epicenter of the industry, and work directly alongside Investors and Founders. This is reinforced by the alliance Zeren has with its parent company, Renovata, who work with an impressive portfolio of businesses, typically backed by PEs and VCs, and have extensive C-Suite and Board-level Search experience, which was a huge draw for me when I was deciding to move to Zeren.

Secondly, Like any successful business, it must be driven by an exceptional Leadership Team, and I found nothing less when I met Chris Preston, Zeren’s CEO, and Harry Lewis, who leads our Commercial hiring division. Both possess a wealth of Search experience, and I instantly resonated with their passion for the industry, the business, and the team that has been built over the past few years. You can instantly see how they have created such an immersive culture, and it was at that point that joining the business became an incredible opportunity for me, and I wanted to play a part in Zeren’s journey.

My role at Zeren is to develop upon my prior expereince partnering with Technology businesses and build exceptional Commercial teams across Sales, Account Management, Partnerships, and more. Zeren has already seen incredible growth in 2022 and has an amazing future – I am very excited to be on-board!
