Job Overview:

We are looking for a strategic and analytical Head of Pricing Optimisation to lead our pricing strategy at Twinkl. This pivotal role involves optimising prices across all our markets and product lines, balancing profitability with long term strategic goals. You will work extensively with the data, finance and marketing teams in order to build and lead a talented cross functional team to drive this area forward. This role requires a deep understanding of price testing methodologies, data literacy, financial modelling, leadership and a commitment to innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with company objectives and market dynamics.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand competitor pricing, market trends, and customer preferences.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise advanced analytics to model pricing scenarios and forecast impacts on revenue and market share.
AB testing Frameworks: Develop comprehensive AB testing frameworks to test different prices and iterate towards optimum price points across all markets
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, finance, marketing, and data teams to align pricing strategies with overall business goals.
Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyse the performance of pricing strategies, making adjustments as necessary to respond to market changes or achieve financial targets.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a cross functional team of pricing analysts and specialists.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate pricing strategies and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure pricing strategies comply with all relevant laws and regulations and adhere to best practices in pricing optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in pricing optimisation, preferably including leadership roles.
  • Experience of designing and running large scale AB tests
  • Experience of finance modelling
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
