Why I Joined Zeren – By Francesca Lee

At the beginning of March, I joined Zeren in my role as an Associate, greatly attracted by the idea of being able to work closely within the high-growth Tech market. With the company heavily in its growth phase, it seemed like a great time to join and I was very eager to collaborate in a company and team of driven, like-minded individuals.


Although I had also previously been working within the Executive Search space, the biggest difference I’ve found, is that Zeren allows me to focus my Research towards its Product hiring vertical; an area of particular interest to me. Having previously worked in the actual Product function for Tech, and having a personal interest in these areas, this was a particularly exciting direction for me, as my Research-based role allows for me to delve deeper strategically by analysing market data to effectively market-map high-growth talent pools.


Another reason why Zeren stood out to me, was the business’s transparency during the whole interview process: something that was lacking in some of my previous experiences, and an aspect that I greatly appreciate. In my opinion, it is truly important for the employer to convey what is expected, alongside the culture of the firm to the potential candidate in order to ensure the best possible outcome. I’m happy to say that Zeren has delivered on this, with my experience so far being overwhelmingly welcoming and positive, and I would describe the work culture as very engaging and supportive, which creates a great environment for collaboration and success.


As my time at Zeren has only just begun, it is too early to tell what exact direction I will be treading in the future. However, as the team continues to expand with our growth, I would be absolutely thrilled to progress more into team management, and contribute to Zeren as much as I can.


The Zeren global team is rapidly increasing in size, and I for one cannot wait to witness first-hand our scale and direction in the upcoming years.
