Joining Zeren As An Associate Consultant

I graduated last year in 2021 from The University of Reading, with a Degree in English Literature and Politics. This Degree helped to enhance my communication skills, and offered me the flexibility I wanted in terms of a career path, as I was not entirely sure what I wanted to pursue.

Initially, I was neither looking nor applying for roles in Recruitment, because I never really knew what the sector consisted of, and whether I could do it. However, a friend sent me a link to apply for a Recruitment-based role at Accenture, and I thought, “why not?!”. This led to my first, Graduate role out of University, and allowed me to gain extensive experience within the Recruitment industry.

During my time at Accenture, I was recruiting for niche language skills across the Operations division. This meant that I dealt with a high volume of candidates, a majority of which I had to head-hunt. I was also able to develop and put my communication skills to use, as I conducted numerous pre-qualifying interviews, engaged in follow-ups and, managed my candidates effectively.

Joining Zeren presents an opportunity for me to further develop the skills I gained at Accenture, and to focus on sourcing and placing commercially-minded candidates into high-growth, Software businesses throughout Europe.

Additionally, Zeren’s expertise of working across the Tech and wider-SaaS landscape will broaden my knowledge of a very active and exciting market, and it will be incredibly exciting to work with Venture Capital and Private Equity-backed firms that are rapidly scaling or undergoing large-scale digital transformations.
