VP of Engineering (m/f/d) Checkout

Together with the Product Lead, you will lead a team of 15 to 25 developers. You will be 20% hands-on to ensure your team creates the best infrastructure & tech applications.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Checkout Interface Design & Optimisation of the Checkout Funnel
• Responsible for Checkout API Design with over 100 Endpoints
• Responsible for the Customer Care Interface (Tooling for Customer Support Agents)
• Responsible for Checkout Marketing Integration in the form of Campaigns, Gift Cards, Voucher Handling, Loyalty Point Systems
• Responsible for maintenance of security & data protection best practices

Task

• Handle all Access, Authentication & Storage of all Customer Data
• Build complex & highly scalable technical solutions in close cooperation with our Managing Director and the Product Lead
• Draft architectural decisions and ensure reliable and state-of-the-art products
• Responsible for Checkout Interface Design & Optimisation of the Checkout Funnel
• Integration of Payment Service Providers & ERP System
• Interfacing with Logistical Service Providers & Carriers
• Handling of operational Issues in conjunction with payment providers, logistical integrations and cloud tenants

Profile

• Proficient in developing high-scalable software products in PHP, Laravel or Symphony would be a plus.
• Deep understanding of Software Architecture and Infrastructure setups in the cloud (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience working with Vue.js Nuxt.js, Typescript
• Able to write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check – You will be 20% and on.
• Comfortable with people management topics and have worked in a leading role in a fast-changing environment before
• Experience in Checkout would be a plus
