Software Engineer

Zeren have partnered with a leading FinTech company that are looking for skilled Python developers to enhance their back-end development team. We’re looking for people at multiple levels — from recent Computer Science graduates to seasoned developers with a few years of coding experience.

They develop AI-powered software that seamlessly integrates with clients' existing finance systems, identifying payment risks and providing valuable insights.

The Role

This is a dynamic and challenging position where you'll work on diverse tasks such as:

• Writing efficient code to manage and process incoming data.

• Collaborating with Data Scientists to analyze large data sets.

• Building and maintaining RESTful APIs in Django to support a React front-end.

We’re looking for developers who take pride in crafting clean, well-tested, and maintainable code. Instead of rigid requirements, we empower our engineers to take ownership of problems and explore innovative solutions while collaborating closely with stakeholders to design and implement new features.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing robust and scalable solutions using Python

• Designing and maintaining REST APIs for seamless application functionality

• Implementing performance optimization strategies

• Writing comprehensive tests and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality code

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of Python coding experience
• Familiarity with Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts effectively

Nice to Have

• Degree in Computer Science (or related field) with a 2:1 or higher

• Experience with AWS, SQL/PostgreSQL

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform)
