Senior Product Manager

We are proud to partner with a market leader within the iGaming industry, looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead a new, exciting vertical working on greenfield projects. Reporting to an impressive CPO, they are well known for providing reliable, cutting edge products used by millions of people worldwide.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product team to help conceptualise new features and enhancements for customers. This will include participating in team reviews, meetings, and brainstorming sessions.
  • Take complete ownership of features and improvements you take from concept to production. You will be collecting background from key stakeholders, gathering information from supporting teams, writing detailed specifications for developers, documenting supportive processes, and liaising with any operational teams that are required in an ongoing manner to support the output.
  • Represent projects you have taken on as the main point of contact for any questions from stakeholders and execution teams. This will include doing detailed presentations, walkthroughs, and demos during the production and release processes to ensure everyone is kept apprised of new developments.
  • Assist all teams with questions about our features/roadmap and to help guide supportive specifications being done in other teams.
  • Prioritise and manage your tasks and backlog effectively to ensure that we are always delivering what we promise on time.
  • Identify key dependencies, issues, and potential blockers ahead of time to derisk deliveries we are responsible for.
  • Liaise with the development team to scope projects out, get delivery estimates, and ensure that they have everything they need to progress effectively. This may include feeding back on early builds and making course-correcting adjustments during a project’s lifetime.
  • Perform user acceptance testing of key features and improvements that are about to launch and ensure they fit with the original functionality and representation envisioned.
  • Present your concepts clearly, concisely, and effectively to the team and to stakeholders.
  • Adjust features and improvements based on feedback from stakeholders or from broader technical challenges, constraints, or limitations that may arise during the production process.
  • Work with designers to bring concepts to life and to ensure that all critical use cases and player journeys are covered.
  • Feedback on other proposed designs and requirements within the team, particularly in cases where it may affect project dependencies.
  • Document new features and improvements so that other team members (or other teams) clearly understand the design decisions made.
  • Prepare release notes when your projects are about to be taken live. This may include a “care package” of instructions and information to linked teams that will be supporting or consuming the improvements or features.
  • Liaise with other product teams throughout the business to ensure broad alignment with related systems and journeys.
  • Develop KPIs and other metrics designed to quantify whether the improvements, products, or features we launch have met their objectives (i.e. what does success look like).
  • Set up and monitor key player journeys / funnels to look for issues and/or opportunities for improvement.
  • Attend sprint and development ceremonies where necessary and relevant.

 Strategic Responsibilities

  • Identity gaps or issues in the current product portfolio and/or journeys and suggest improvements that should be considered for the roadmap.
  • Evaluate our product offering in comparison to others in our market (and market adjacent) for opportunities.
  • Keep an eye on broader product trends and tools, especially within the gaming and entertainment spaces, to ensure that we are keeping up with best product management practices so we can deliver experiences that exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide thoughtful, considered feedback on the overall roadmap and user experience strategy.

Key Experience Areas

  • You should have a clear understanding of usability and user-centred design.
  • Understand different software development processes, how development teams work, and how different product roles work with development teams is critical to your success.
  • Ideally you will have some technical background or knowledge. Understanding how developers build the interfaces and the challenges they face is tremendously valuable when designing solutions. Having the ability to code in HTML or CSS is advantageous.
  • Ideally you will also have design knowledge and/or capabilities. While we have product designers and UI/UX specialists, having this ability is a big plus.
