Sales Engineer UK/I @ Leading SaaS solution

THE ROLE

​​​​You will be working in the Sales Engineer EMEA team for this highly regarded SaaS cloud based and will be someone who likes leading sales prospect with the Account Executive team from the front.

  • Understand and communicate solution messaging at both a technical and business level
  • Provide industry expertise and guidance to BDRs and AEs as well as prospects
  • Communicate technical solutions in a business manner
  • Author and provide presentations to both executive-level and working-level client audiences
  • Present standard software demonstrations
  • Present product offerings and architecture to prospective customers, to evoke confidence in Siteimprove’s technology and infrastructure
  • Develop and present customized demonstrations based on prospective client requirements
  • Provide solution insight paralleling the solution to client needs
  • Develop technical sales strategy
  • Conduct technical assessments to determine prospective client’s infrastructure readiness for Siteimprove solutions
  • Guide prospective clients to the merits and strengths of the Siteimprove platform and solutions
  • Assist Account Executives in development of target account selling strategies
  • Keep current on industry and technology trends
  • Document all prospective client meetings and decisions in Salesforce CRM
  • Keep current on competitive solutions to Siteimprove, and be able to articulate the differences, especially in its technological capabilities, limitations and performance
  • Assist Account Executives in development of proposals and crafting RFP/RFI responses, especially on the technical questions
  • Articulate market requests and needs to R&D and marketing organizations in clear, concise manner
  • Organize communication between teams and external vendors to develop solutions

Skills & Experiences

  • ​​​​​​​Minimum 3 years experience in presales – either for software or technical services
  • Ability to solicit business requirements
  • Proven technical proficiency – whether through previous job experience or through education
  • Can quickly identify and solve technical business challenges related to software delivery
  • Ability to relate technical concepts to customers of all technical proficiencies
  • Analyze, structure, and negotiate long-term technology roadmap initiatives with prospects and customers
  • Ability to understand, communicate and manage across the entire customer lifecycle
  • Broad knowledge of technology trends in digital marketing and content management systems
  • Understanding of how businesses operate, and industry trends relevant to customer’s business
  • Proven experience leading technical and digital roadmap workshops in a complex business and marketing environment
  • Ability to develop technical sales strategy
  • Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing role, especially to explain technical concepts and products (e.g., technical architect, technical consultant, etc.)
  • Team-oriented and strong collaboration skills
  • Passionate commitment to quality and success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong public speaking ability
  • Growth mindset
  • Experience working in or with product management and software development teams
  • Knowledge of DevOps patterns and industry trends​​​​​​​
