Reporting to: Vicky Cartwright, Director of Marketing
Starting From: ASAP
Overview
As our Product Marketing Manager you’ll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with our Go-To-Market teams (marketing, sales & CX) and Product Management to drive growth. Product Marketing is very much the glue that brings together teams across the organisation to enable the perfect matching between product and market, thereby helping to position CyberSmart as the leader in cybersecurity for SMEs.
Product Marketing is responsible for two key areas:
- Understanding the market (pain points, market landscape, competitiveness, etc.) and helping product management shape the product
- Articulating the product value and defining, alongside the GTM leadership team, the go-to-market strategy for our products.
The Product Marketing Manager will report directly into the Director of Marketing, however the role will also work very closely with our Director of Product, delivering strategic impact across the business.
Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Drive and define product marketing strategy to align short-term success with long-term product vision and strategy
- Develop and maintain an overarching narrative for CyberSmart's platform, ensuring that the narrative connects the individual products into a cohesive story
- Develop the value proposition for each current and future product, including the development of key messaging for customer and partner-facing content and internal sales enablement materials
- Work closely with product & GTM teams to define and execute launch plans for new products & features
- Drive creation of all product-related collateral, including product demos, product overview documents, battle cards, sales training, enablement materials, pitch decks etc.
- Drive the delivery of content that enables the sales and leadership team to tell the product story to media, customers, investors, and analysts
- Partner with the Product team to conduct market and competitive analysis, customer segmentations, personas, buyer and customer journeys
- Actively monitor the competitor landscape to identify opportunities and threats, feeding into product strategies and go-to-market efforts, including the creation of competitor battle cards and complementary solution bundle cards
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of all product marketing efforts for optimisation, budgeting and management
- Work cross-functionally and experiment on improvements to key sales and retention levers across the full customer journey. Measure, tweak, refine, and report back accordingly
Requirements
- Product and/or growth marketing experience within multi-product or multi-category SaaS or B2B tech companies
- Experience of messaging to multiple personas and business types, including channel partners (distributors, VARs, MSPs) and end users
- Proven track record of successful product launches including crafting compelling value-based positioning, messaging, and content to support marketing and sales teams
- Ability to collaborate and support cross-team projects, with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
- Hands-on execution between strategic planning and ideation
- Experience developing and implementing Product-led growth beneficial, with a strong understanding of the product life cycle
- Experience working within a scale-up business (transitioning from series B to series D) highly beneficial
- Experience of the cybersecurity industry beneficial but not essential, instead the candidate must demonstrate their ability to understand and simplify complex solutions
- Guided by data, you show a real flair for understanding data, patterns and trends, using them to inform your actions
- Strong project management, critical and analytical thinking
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment while having a focus on quality, and good attention to detail
- Knowledge of Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence is preferred
- An appreciation of the objectives and activities of CyberSmart
- An appreciation of the diversity of thought and individualism of all our team members around the world, embracing this diversity and inclusivity in your approach to your work and sense of community at CyberSmart.
