We are proud to be partnered with Berry Health to recruit its first in-house Software Engineer. After its most recent funding round, the growth plans for this Full Stack consumer health tech platform, have now accelerated due to product success and strong market fit and they require a high-calibre Software Engineer to work with their Director of Engineering, to build the function from the ground up.

Berry Health is providing a real-world solution to the global healthcare crisis, with a core B2C web platform, this business is on a mission to de-stigmatise health conditions by offering digital care to millions of people.

Backed by General Catalyst (one of the most successful Seed stage VC investors) this is a career-making start up opportunity for someone who enjoys building purpose-driven products.

They have an office in London and, typically, the leadership team get together once a week. This position does not hold a specific requirement to come into the office every week, however, you are able to do that if you wish.

The Role
As a Principal Software Engineer at Berry Health, you'll be stepping into a role that offers not only technical challenges but also unparalleled ownership and autonomy to shape their platform right from the start and have a tangible impact on people's lives.

Full Stack JavaScript Experience: Bring your extensive Full Stack JavaScript skills to the forefront. Leverage your proficiency in both front-end and backend technologies to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Node.js Backend Expert: Utilise in-depth experience with Node.js to drive the development of their backend systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and scalable.

AWS Infrastructure and Backend Architecture: Use your expertise in AWS infrastructure to design and implement a secure and scalable backend architecture that underpins their platform's reliability and performance.

Domain-specific Experience: Any background in building consumer-facing e-commerce storefronts is going to crucial in creating a seamless shopping experience for their users. Ideally, you will have a deep understanding of how customers navigate through a platform in order to use this knowledge to optimise user journeys and enhance user satisfaction.
