Zeren are pleased to have partnered with TapTap Send, an app-only payments platform guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goal of providing remittances to migrant communities for less than 3% to, ultimately, reduce global financial inequality. They are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join their team. You have the option to either work remotely, hybrid or full-time in the London office.

Their Series B from Spark Capital (the same business that led Twitter’s Series B) came in at $65m. They have been growing 2x YoY and grew from 110 employees to over 200 in the past 9 months. Their plans are to 10x the business from 2022 to 2024.

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will have a tangible impact on a traditionally underserved user (immigrants that are supporting their friends and family on basic necessities). At their current size, every individual has personal ownership and the opportunity to tackle work outside of their comfort zone.

The product is simple but it hides a lot of complexity. For that reason, there are technical challenges centred around scalability, usability and regulation/governance which you will have an opportunity to overcome.
