Role Overview:

Our client seeks an experienced Head of Product Design to lead and develop their talented design team. 
The successful candidate will work directly with the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and founders and collaborate closely with sales, marketing, development, and product departments. The main objective will be to create exceptional user experiences and drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the design team.

Responsibilities:
 

• Develop, implement, and manage the product design strategy in alignment with TestGorilla's vision and objectives.
• Build and nurture a high-performing design team by recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top talent.
• Establish and maintain a design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all TestGorilla products and platforms.
• Collaborate with the CPO, founders, and other departments to create and prioritise design initiatives that align with business goals and user needs.
• Drive a culture of innovation, user-centred design, and continuous improvement within the design team.
• Oversee the creation and delivery of exceptional user experiences for our products.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure seamless communication across departments.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices and proactively identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in product design, with at least three years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing design teams.
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, user-centred design thinking, and a deep understanding of design systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and present to cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a fully remote environment and leading remote teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
• A growth mindset and a passion for learning, staying up-to-date with industry trends, and sharing knowledge with the team.
