A fantastic opportunity for an experienced People Leader to join one of the most exciting, hyper-growth Ed Tech players as their People Director and build a scalable people function.

The Role:

As the first People leader in the business, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the business at a pivotal time as they embark on the next phase of their growth and expansion. You will have the sponsorship and investment from the founders to build a high performing and strategic HR function, hiring great talent, creating a scalable culture, and building up core operations and best practices.

You will be being the sparring partner to the founders and the business managers, translating their vision and business plans into a scalable people strategy.

  • Directly reporting to the CEO
  • Create a People strategy that supports and aligns to business strategy
  • Building out a team of HR professionals, covering the core pillars of business partnering, people operations, Talent, Learning and people experience
  • Creating a nurturing and engaging company culture across all countries and offices
  • Build learning journeys and provide people development opportunities to enhance skills and increase potential

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • 5 years’ experience in a People Leadership role
  • You will have experience scaling a hypergrowth tech business
  • You will have experience working directly with an executive team
  • You will have experience building out people processes, policies, and systems from the ground up
  • You will have experience developing a people strategy and managing multiple work streams
  • You will have experience of all HR subject matters and be well versed in people ops, contracts, legal requirements such as GDPR ect
  • You will have global or international HR experience to help Studysmarter with their global expansion
  • You are able to work in an agile, independent manner with the ability to pivot and adapt to business changes
