Role Summary: As the Head of Merchant Partnerships USA at Runa, your primary responsibility is to lead strategic initiatives and oversee the growth and development of Runa's merchant ecosystem in the USA. This involves expanding the network, upselling to existing merchants, and building a robust and reliable catalog of digital supply partners. You will manage a team of regional Merchant Account Managers who focus on expanding partnerships through strategic sales and nurturing relationships with existing partners to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Leadership: Build and foster a high-performing, KPI-driven team culture focused on expanding partnerships and achieving significant growth objectives.
Strategic Planning: Design and implement systems and processes to enhance the partnerships function, expand the merchant partner network, and improve commercial terms and operational quality.
Business Accountability: Oversee the end-to-end merchant business in the region, including acquisition, onboarding, expansion, and pipeline management, while meeting commercial targets.
Relationship Management: Lead in-life engagement with merchants, address operational issues, renegotiate agreements, and prioritize the merchant experience.
Process Optimization: Drive the evolution of processes governing the merchant business, including outreach methodology, streamlined onboarding, and tools for improved commercial performance.
Sales Enablement: Coach and support the team in developing sales and relationship management skills, aligning with counterparts in other regions, and analyzing partner data to identify growth opportunities.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends in financial technology and payments.
