Content Marketing Manager – A Leading Marketing Technology Platform 

Zeren is supporting an award-winning global Marketing SaaS provider to build out their global CRM function. They are private equity owned and have over 50,000 active clients using their platform across 120 markets. 

As part of their growth strategy, they are looking for a Content Marketing Manager, to join the content team to help them grow traffic, sign ups and usage of their product. You will be reporting into the Dirctor of Content, with a focus on content, SEO, editorial, content strategy and dissemination. The content manager will also build a growing tam of freelance writers, partners and internal experts to collaborate on new ideas, articles, editing, optimising, publishing and promoting.

The role:

  • Work with the CMO/Content Director to further establish editorial direction, including keywords, the topics they should cover and the content formats they should produce.
  • Work with the demand gen team to create campaigns, test out new media formats and ideas, set direction and plans to utilise content across their marketing activity.
  • Measure the impact of content marketing, educational resources and their blog including its influence on acquisitoon and conversions.
  • Proofread all content before being published.
  • Manage all content from draft right up until publication, including writing headlines for blog posts, media descriptions for SEO, choosing the featured image etc.
  • Work with a small team of freelance writers to assign new topics and brainstorm new topics that align with their editorial direction.
  • Update content and internal linking to maximise search traffic.

Required skills:​​​​​

  • You love stories and are a natural storyteller ideally coming from an editorial or journalist background. You can switch your tone of voice, write, review and edit in various formats.
  • You’re an exceptional editor and proofreader. You enjoy taking written work from draft form to publication. You love reading, too. In short, you’re probably the person everyone goes to for your opinion before they publish.
  • You’re a strong writer. Blog posts, emails, social media promotions––whatever it is you’re skilled in coming up with the right words to promote a message.
  • You enjoy tying the work that you do to results. From an editorial standpoint, this would mean measuring the overall impact of the blog and website content. How are sessions trending? Which pages drive the most sessions? How does each blog or video influence conversions?
  • You have experience with tools like WordPress (for publishing), SEMRush for SEO, Google Analytics (for analysing content performance), Project management (we use Asana) and other technologies necessary for editing and publishing content. You also are comfortable writing about these and other marketing tools.
