The role:

We are looking for a results-driven Commercial Director to join our team in Ireland and take commercial responsibility establish and scale our business and our social mission in the country. This is an exciting start-up role that requires an entrepreneurial spirit to take ownership of establishing the auticon brand in the Irish market and building a strong, mission-driven local team.
 
You will have sharp commercial skills and a strong track record of driving sales. Reporting to Commercial Director – auticon UK, you will be accountable for opening new opportunities with customers in Ireland and building on the relationship with auticon’s lighthouse customer in the market. You will bring a strong understanding of the Irish market and of technology buyers. Managing a sales pipeline and working with customers to develop sales solutions should be second nature to you.  

The successful candidate will understand the complexities of opening new opportunities in a relatively nascent market (workplace neurodiversity) and balancing the demands of a business with a strong social mission. You will bring strong relationship-building skills and the gravitas to confidently engage customers, team members and other stakeholders.

As part of the auticon UK leadership team, you will be responsible for increasing revenues and auticon’s customer base in Ireland, ensuring this growth is consistent with auticon’s overall strategy and mission. You will bring the experience and expertise that can contribute to the growth of a successful local business as part of a growing global organisation. You will form close partnerships with peers across the organisation to maximise opportunities for growth.

You will be a champion for neurodiversity, equity and inclusion. You do not need to be an expert in neurodiversity but will bring the curiosity and passion to learn about it and apply your commercial skills to expand auticon’s presence in the US market.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Establish the auticon Ireland business and brand in the market.
  • Develop the sales strategy, own and deliver the sales pipeline.
  • Establish strong customer relationships and understand their needs with a view to grow engagements with existing customer accounts.
  • Develop a strong rapport with auticon’s consultants and demonstrate strong ability to match customer needs to consultants’ expertise and skills.
  • Collaborate with sales teams across auticon to maximise sales opportunities and value delivered to customer organisations with multinational presence.
  • Maintain astute awareness of the local market landscape, expansion opportunities and industry developments, adapting the short/long-term sales strategies where needed.
  • Align with Group systems, processes and policies, maintaining flexibility and open communication channels to balance local and global needs.
  • Manage and report on sales performance.
  • Represent auticon at events, confidently communicating auticon’s mission and promoting the impact it will have for our customers, our consultants and society in general.

Preferred qualifications:
 

  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven track record of growing the top line with strong experience in consultative sales.
  • Extensive sales and revenue management experience.
  • Broad knowledge of IT consulting with good understanding of data analytics, programming languages and cyber security.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the social impact sector.
  • Empathy and an interest in neurodiversity.
  • Entrepreneurial experience desirable but not essential.

Requirements and Skills:
 

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on selling.
  • Strong understanding of local market with an established network of business relationships in Ireland.
  • Proven experience in leveraging executive-level relationships.
  • Ability to develop and execute a long-term business development strategy with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Confident presenter with the ability to meaningfully engage with C-level customers.
  • Strong social commitment to make a difference.
