Cloudsmith is looking for an exceptional full-time New Business Account Executive to work in the UK & Ireland. If you are hungry, nimble, and intelligent – with the ability and willingness to close business, we are looking for you.

Cloudsmith is the only cloud-native, global, universal artifact management platform for securely developing and distributing software.

Founded in 2016, Cloudsmith is on a mission to build the world’s single source of truth for all software. We’ve won awards, landed huge brand-name customers, and built incredible technology. We raised Series A funding in 2021 to the tune of $18m, and another $11m in 2023.

Our platform enables software development teams to have a single source of truth for all the binaries and software artifacts in their development lifecycle, and to control the open source dependencies that are consumed.

We’re rapidly replacing legacy competitors like Sonatype and jFrog in the market.

Following successful Series A2 funding, we are expanding our sales team and want to rapidly grow market share.
 

Position Overview:

Cloudsmith is looking for an exceptional full-time Account Executive to work in the UK & Ireland. If you are hungry, nimble, and intelligent – with the ability and willingness to close business, we are looking for you.

We’re rapidly replacing legacy competitors like Sonatype and jFrog in the market, and following successful Series A2 funding, we are expanding our sales team and want to rapidly grow market share.
 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within mid-market accounts
  • Develop a deep understanding of potential clients' business challenges and demonstrate how Cloudsmith's solutions can address their needs.
  • Develop a compelling point of view on how and why each prospective client would benefit from becoming a Cloudsmith customer
  • Educate and engage prospective clients to develop awareness of their challenges and the need to take action
  • Help potential customers make a confident decision on whether our solution is a good fit
  • Nurture and develop relationships through long sales cycles
  • Represent Cloudsmith at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to generate leads and increase brand awareness

n.b. You must have the right to work independently in the UK / ROI without requiring sponsorship.
 

Experience and things that are bonuses:

 

  • Proven experience in sales within the IT sector. Ideally, you would have sold or prospected software, cloud, or DevOps solutions.
  • 1-3 years sales related experience.
  • Proficiency with various in working in a CRM, sales prospecting tools and web-based conferencing systems e.g MS Office suite, Salesforce.com, Intercom, and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals with a solid track record.
  • Ability to comfortably engage with technical buyers and procurement.
  • Great written and oral communication skills for creating professional documents and giving presentations to interested clients.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to listen to concerns and handle criticism.
  • Positive attitude and want to be part of an energetic sales environment.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution.
  • Hungry to learn, genuinely curious, and know how to get the answers to your questions.
